Here is our most recent rambler makeover! This one sits on a lovely wooded property backing onto the greenbelt of Thornton Creek in Seattle. We added a new kitchen wing to the front of the house, as well as arbors and decks to create outdoor living rooms and a more distinctive covered entry. The house has been opened up to natural light and very private, unobstructed views into the woods. The doors in the dining room corner open and fold out of the way such that the entire corner of the house is open to the deck and nature beyond! Interior finishes and detailing have been designed to impart a tranquil Japanese calm through the house, yet are functional in ways that support a young, growing family.
